Vienna's St. Stephen's Cathedral has been a cathedral church since 1356 and has already undergone numerous structural changes since its construction. Beneath the cathedral is the ducal crypt, in which numerous kings and archdukes have been buried throughout history. Around St. Stephen's Cathedral there are numerous cafés, restaurants and shops.

University of Vienna

The University of Vienna is the largest university in the German-speaking world with 187 courses of study and over 90,000 students. The main building of the University of Vienna extends over a gigantic area on the Universitätsring and is a special eye-catcher with its striking portico and arcade courtyard. City Hall

The City Hall is the seat of the government and administration of Vienna, in which, among other things, the offices of the Mayor and Governor of Vienna are located. The City Hall is a monumental neo-Gothic building with individual Renaissance elements and enchants especially in the evening with its romantic lighting. Every year, the City Hall Square is the venue for numerous events organised by the City of Vienna, such as the extensive Advent market including an ice skating rink or the world-famous Life Ball, which takes place every summer.

Burgtheater

The Burgtheater is considered one of the most famous stages in Europe and is the largest spoken theatre in the German-speaking world. As the Austrian national theatre, it is located on the Ring opposite the town hall and was the imperial-royal Hofburgtheater.
