Palais Liechtenstein

The Garden Palace Liechtenstein is a baroque palace on Fürstengasse in Vienna's 9th district, Alsergrund. Between the palace, which housed the Liechtenstein Museum until the end of 2011, and the summer palace on Alserbachstraße, which was designed as a Belvedere, lies a park. One of the largest Rubens collections, central works by van Dyck, Lucas Cranach and Raphael can be admired, as well as oeuvres by Rembrandt, van Ruysdael and Hamilton. In addition, there are porcelain, an extensive bronze collection and one of the most beautiful French state coaches still in existence. A particularly valuable exhibit is also the Badminton Cabinet, the most valuable piece of furniture in the world. The great variety of paintings, sculptures, furniture, porcelains and tapestries, in combination with the architecture of the Garden Palace Liechtenstein, conveys the pleasant and noble atmosphere of a family collection. The Liechtenstein Collection is one of the largest and most important in the world.

Votive Park

The Votivpark is located in the western part of Vienna's Inner City between the University and the Votivkirche. It takes less than three minutes to walk here from the Schottentor subway station. The green spaces around and in front of the Votivkirche were designed around 1870 following the construction of the church. In 1984, the green areas around the church were named "Votivpark", while the green areas facing the Ring were named after Sigmund Freud. Since the park is close to the university, there was a hustle and bustle here in the afternoon. Many students spend their breaks here.

Schafbergbad

A visit to the Schafbergbad in the 18th district guarantees cooling off and lots of water fun. At a whopping 102 meters, the slide there is also considered the longest slide in the city. The queue of people waiting can sometimes reach all the way to the bottom. But we promise: The queue is worth it and you shouldn't miss out on the slide fun. Otherwise, the Schafbergbad is also absolutely recommendable, spoils you with a view over the whole of Vienna, a large sunbathing area, shady spots and is extremely chill. You can check the homepage to see if there is still Corona capacity on the sunbathing lawns for the day in question.

People's Opera House

The Haus des Meeres is a former flak tower in the middle of the 6th district, which now serves as a zoo of diverse marine aquariums and terrariums. In the House of the Sea, tropical freshwater and seawater fish cavort alongside fish from the Mediterranean and native waters. Here you can walk through the tubular Atlantic tunnel, watch hammerhead sharks on the 10th floor of the tower and take a closer look at monkeys, crocodiles, giant snakes and tarantulas in the tropical house. Another attraction here is the magnificent view from the roof terrace, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the city.

Vienna General Hospital

Vienna General Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in Europe and the largest in Austria. It has over 2,000 beds and employs nearly 10,000 people, about one-sixth of them doctors. Every year, half a million patients are treated in the wards and 397 outpatient clinics. The AKH is an important pillar of Vienna's health care system. In addition, it is the seat of the Medical University of Vienna and serves as a training hospital for 7,500 students. Due to the large flow of people and the number of workplaces, the AKH Vienna represents a special feature for the surrounding residential real estate market.
